Amazing! The packaging itself spoke to the care and expertise that went into the actual shelves. Unpacking everything was like Christmas! I loved the personal touch as well, included in the hardware box. Assembly wasn't an issue - except that I needed a new screwdriver ( the shaft on mine was a little too thick) to complete the feet. No worries, there. 

The Seb is everything I hoped it would be. I would highly recommend Archer to anyone! I appreciate all the communications, from the Thank You note to every e-response you've given regarding my order.

We bought the Seb shelf with 2 tiers in a 72” length in ash wood. A few of the notes about our experience:

-The shelf was delivered by UPS mostly assembled, the boxes were extremely well packed for shipping

-Unboxing and assembly took us about 30 minutes. Assembly was extremely easy, we didn’t even need the directions.

-The shelf has adjustable feet at the bottom so we were able to level it out, we live in an older house and floors aren’t level. We usually have to use shims for most of our furniture to level it out. So we really appreciated that built in feature.

-The craftsmanship is apparent just looking at it. It will never get mistaken for a store bought piece.

-The design stands out but isn’t overbearing and blends in well with our furniture.

The Seb shelf is really quite beautiful, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to buy an Archer shelf.

I am speechless.

1st - the packaging was amazing. There is no way this could have been damaged. I purchased a $2000 file cabinet from BDI, which had to be reshipped THREE TIMES due to shipping damage. I will never purchase from them again. 

This, however, was packaged amazingly well. Bomb-proof packaging. 

2nd - this thing is SOLID. No particle board or MDF. Real wood, finished well. Physically beautiful and technically well engineered. Extremely thoughtful assembly process. 

3rd - it looks exactly like the website said it would. No fancy photographic tricks. Precisely what was ordered is what was delivered.

I bought a 2 tier ash Seb shelf, it took me about 10 minutes to assemble it, it’s perfect.

One thing I appreciate about my Archer Shelf is the clear finish and how strong it is. The first week I had it, a guest set a wine glass down on it that had a little wine on the bottom of the glass. The wine dried overnight before I noticed it the next morning. I grabbed a sponge from my sink and it wiped right off!

I bought a shelf from another furniture company last year online that had an “oil” finish on it and it was a total nightmare, it looks terrible after a year of use. Any kind of liquid on it for any amount of time will leave a stain.

One thing I didn’t totally appreciate about Archer Furniture’s shelves until I saw them person is how different they are from most other companies. I’ve owned several shelves for my record collection and I realized that even shelves from nicer companies aren’t that different from basic Ikea shelves in how they are assembled. Other companies say their stuff will last years but I have rarely found that claim to be true.

But while assembling my Seb shelf from Archer, the difference in quality compared to other other companies is pretty obvious. I don’t have any doubt that I’ll own this shelf for decades.
